Feile 2024 Senior Olympics

This years senior Olympics was played at Bishops Field Sports centre with pride at stake for the returning teams of the OLT, BBHF, MacMillan and DCSDC Sport Development.

The events included, Beachball badminton, Pickle ball, Penalty shoot out, Target practice and more.

The winners this year were DCSDC Sport Development team. Well done everyone!

Feile 2024 DEEDS Mayors Tea Dance

A lovely afternoon was had at the bishops field Sports centre for the annual summer Mayors Tea dance.

This year we had the privilege of hosting the event and welcoming the deputy mayor Mr. Darren Guy to the event.

Our members came from across the city and district and enjoyed music by Dougie Breslin and lots of food and refreshments along with plenty of dancing and craic!

Lúnasa: Creggan Games with OLT HLC

Calling all our Creggan families, friends and residents!

Invoke the spirit of the traditional Creggan Highland games and put forward a team to compete in the Lúnasa: Creggan Games, taking place on 15th August 2024!

Start time: 2pm – 4pm, at St Cecilia’s College sports grounds at Fanad Drive/Bishop’s Field.

The event will be divided into four games:

TUG OF WAR
SACK RACE
WELLY THROW
CREGGAN NATIONAL (RACE)

Your team can be made up of friends, families, teens, adults or a mixture of each!

Each team can be made up of 8 people. All entrants must be aged 15+. (There will also be prizes to be won and plenty of craic to be had!)

Diabetes Support Group

MONTHLY DIABETES SESSION

The OLT are delighted to host our 1st monthly diabetes session, an informative and supportive group session for anyone who is currently pre-diabetic and living with type-2 diabetes.

Monday 5th August at 2pm at the OLT.

Session will focus on diet, treatments and local health programmes to help.
